Communication & Meetings

What the Apaleo connector can do

Apaleo runs reservations, billing, and daily operations for hotels and short-stay properties through an open API. In type.com, a hospitality or operations Space can ask Claude to confirm a property or unit exists, check a unit group's setup, or archive a property that's no longer live, cutting down on manual checks in the Apaleo admin panel.

One connection, many Spaces

Connect Apaleo once, then decide which Spaces can use it in threads, skills, automations, and coding work.

FAQ

Questions people ask before connecting Apaleo

Can Claude check property and unit setup in Apaleo?

Yes. With an Apaleo connection shared to your Space, ask Claude in a thread to confirm properties, units, or unit groups exist, or archive a property that's closed.

How does type.com authenticate with Apaleo?

Apaleo uses OAuth sign-in. An admin completes this once when creating the connection and decides which Spaces are authorized to use it.

Can multiple properties share one Apaleo connection in type.com?

Yes. A single Apaleo connection can be shared across the Spaces that manage different properties, as long as the connected account has access to each one.

Is this the same as a Apaleo MCP server?

Not exactly. type.com uses connectors and connections to give selected Spaces access to approved app tools and data. Some connectors use hosted MCP, while others use OAuth, API keys, service accounts, or custom APIs.
